ACTION PLAN.

The ACTION PLAN represents the three-year programmatic document from the Ministry of Education, University and Research, in which four guiding Roadmaps have been identified, aimed at supporting the development of the Circular Bioeconomy in Italy:

  1. Demonstrative and experimental activities for the development of innovative and efficient products and processes through the development, production and utilization of agricultural, forestry and marine non-food biomass of the territories;
  2. Redevelopment of territories and marginal areas with a circular approach to the bioeconomy, with optimization of the cascading valorization of biomass, by-products, wastes and effluents into products and processes that cross-integrate different productive sectors in the area;
  3. Development of a bioeconomy culture involving all stakeholders;
  4. Experimental research and development activities for the collection of functional data for standardization and pre-normative activities in order to create the appropriate conditions for the market deployment of new bioproducts.
