Education and training
SPRING promotes initiatives related to the education system, according to an educational paradigm that enables the acquisition of a range of additional and transversal skills in terms of approaches, knowledge and soft skills. Activates insertion projects and pilot actions in the Green Jobs sector, leveraging existing professionalism and skills in the territories to foster the widespread growth of a common culture on the Bioeconomy.
Master biocirce
SPRING is among the institutions that have provided their endorsement since the first edition of the Interuniversity Second Level Master’s Degree BIOCIRCE – Bioeconomy in the Circular Economy, making available its expertise and its network of national and international relations.
The Master’s program offers a highly advanced pathway for training specialized professionals in the areas of the Circular Bioeconomy.
BIOCIRCE is in line with European and global priorities and policies, which call for focusing resources and investment in R&D and Training with the goal of supporting an economy that grows while respecting the environment and reducing dependence on resources such as fossil fuels.

ICESP - Italian Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform
The Cluster also participates in ICESP – Italian Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform – Platform launched by ENEA at the Italian level on the circular economy, taking part in Working Group 1: “Research and Eco Innovation, Knowledge Dissemination and Training” and in the subgroup “Skills and Training.”
Goals of the GDL
- Enhancing eco-innovation as a tool for competitiveness and sustainability in the current industrial environment;
- Provide examples of the development of eco-innovations in different business contexts to highlight the success and benefits achieved;
- Improve understanding of the dynamics of eco-innovation in companies (enabling factors, obstacles/barriers, best practices);
- Offer insights to identify eco-innovation opportunities. Stakeholders: enterprises, research;
- To improve knowledge of the gaps between the demand for specialized skills of companies and current secondary and tertiary education supply as well as continuing vocational training;
- To develop, through the results of the outputs produced by the HLG, policy recommendations to facilitate access to and incentivize the adoption of eco-innovations by enterprises and in particular SMEs.
OTHER INITIATIVES
BIOECONOMY4YOU
“Bioeconomy4YOU – Ambasciatori della bioeconomia” concorso anciato da Re Soil Foundation, in collaborazione con Cluster Spring, Fondazione Raul Gardini, Novamont, Transition2Bio (APRE e FVA), nel contesto del European Year of Youth e del decennale della Strategia Europea per la Bioeconomia. Ha l’obiettivo di facilitare la consapevolezza, stimolare la riflessione e raccogliere le idee su come le nuove generazioni immaginano il proprio futuro in tema di bioeconomia circolare.
Il Cluster SPRING sostiene l’iniziativa, impegnandosi per la sensibilizzazione delle nuove generazioni sui temi della bioeconomia circolare e della sostenibilità e promuovendo attività educative e interattive per i più piccoli e i ragazzi.
STARTUPPER SCHOOL ACADEMY
Il Cluster SPRING supporta da anni le iniziative di Startupper School Academy, il programma di Lazio Innova per le scuole che si pone l’obiettivo di accrescere la conoscenza e stimolare la propensione al fare impresa tra gli studenti degli Istituti di Istruzione Secondaria Superiore.
All’interno del tema verticale “A scuola di futuro con la Bioeconomia”, il Cluster SPRING insieme a Novamont, Re Soil Foundation, i progetti europei Transition2BIO e BIOBec e la rete di progetti European Bioeconomy Network, supporta il programma partecipando ai webinar introduttivi per docenti e ragazzi e mettendo a disposizione diversi premi per i progetti proposti dagli studenti che presentano soluzioni e idee che prestano attenzione all’intero ciclo di vita del prodotto, dall’utilizzo di materie prime di origine biologica, alla produzione in chiave sostenibile, fino allo smaltimento, in un’ottica di bioeconomia circolare.
BIOECONOMY CHANGEMAKERS FESTIVAL
Nel contesto del Bioeconomy Changemakers Festival – evento organizzato dalla Commissione Europea e dagli Bioeconomy Youth Ambassadors – che si svolgerà il 13-14 marzo 2024 a Bruxelles, il Cluster SPRING, l’Agenzia per la Promozione della Ricerca Europea (APRE), FVA – New Media Research, in collaborazione con Lazio Innova e Unitelma Sapienza, organizzano a Roma uno dei 30 appuntamenti satellite che si terranno in tutta Europa.
Una mattinata di interventi ed esposizioni interattive, tra cui un Escape Game, per formare e coinvolgere le nuove generazioni, per ispirarle e renderle protagoniste di una transizione ecologica sostenibile e inclusiva, attraverso le opportunità offerte dalla bioeconomia circolare. L’evento principale si svolgerà presso Spazio Europa, gestito dall’Ufficio del Parlamento Europeo in Italia e dalla Rappresentanza in Italia della Commissione Europea.
