SPRING Cluster and Lombardy Green Chemistry Association (LGCA) are participating in the European project HempClub, funded by the COSME program with the aim of deploying the potential of hemp as a promising biomass for circular and bio-based applications through the creation of integrated value chains and new business opportunities for farmers and producers.

In this context, on February 15, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., a conference entitled “Circular bioeconomy conference: enabling sustainability and resilience” will be held at theUniversity of Milan-Bicocca.

The event aims to demonstrate how circular bioeconomy models can respond to the challenges of today’s world, including the energy crisis, raw material shortages and worsening climate change. Concrete case studies will be presented in the form of funded projects that, through research and innovation, aim to overcome these challenges, and companies that, by pursuing sustainability and circularity in their productions, have developed resilient business models to the moments of crisis faced in recent years.

This will be followed by theB2B matchmaking event from 2 to 6 p.m., with the aim of creating new opportunities for collaboration between companies operating in different application sectors of the bioeconomy.
