5th Circular Economy Summer School kicks off: SPRING sponsorship strengthens the role of circular bioeconomy

The fifth edition of the Circular Economy Summer School, this year dedicated to the Circular Bioeconomy, returns to Paduafrom June 29 to July 2, 2026.

A well-established event in the national and international educational scene, which is also distinguished by the sponsorship of the Italian Circular Bioeconomy Cluster SPRING and the Italian Forest-Wood Cluster, confirming the strategic role of the initiative in the development of the circular bioeconomy in Italy.

Organized at the Botta Flower and the Department of Chemical Sciences of the University of Padua, the Summer School is sponsored by the Master of Science in Sustainable Chemistry and Technologies for Circular Economy, with the involvement of several departments of the University and in collaboration with international partners such as Justus Liebig University of Giessen and the University of Ljubljana.

The Summer School, delivered in English, will offer a multidisciplinary program ranging from biomass valorization to nutraceutics, from biorefineries to biofuels, to bio-based polymers and sustainable packaging, also in light of the new European Commission Bioeconomy Strategy published in November 2025.

The initiative is free for students of the sponsoring master’s degree program, while it is open for a fee to corporate personnel, with different modes of participation: as learners, as speakers at the Industrial Forum or as sponsors of educational activities. The program also includes networking moments, company case studies and educational visits, encouraging direct confrontation between academia and the production system.
