On December 16, 2024, the Implementation Plan 2025-2027 of the Italian Bioeconomy Strategy BIT II (IAP 2025-2027) was approved, aimed at consolidating the sustainable and circular Bioeconomy throughout the country and internationally.
The Document was drafted within the National Bioeconomy Coordinating Group (NCCG) -of which SPRING Cluster is also a member.
Sixty-five billion additional turnover and 300,000 more jobs by 2030.
Increasing the annual turnover and employment of the bioeconomy by 15 percent, from 437.5 billion in 2023 to 503.1 billion and from 2 million to 2.3 million jobs, respectively, is the goal of the new Implementation Plan.
5 suggested operational actions, 6 “flagship projects,” calls for more interconnected supply chains and more flexible standards that can enhance Italy’s strengths in innovation and high quality standards.
