The call for the third edition of BioInvestIT – the Bioeconomy Investment Forum dedicated to circular bioeconomy companies that are looking for investors and those research projects that want to establish new start-ups – has officially opened.

The initiative is organized by the SPRING Cluster in collaboration with theEuropean Circular Bioeconomy Fund and Bio4Dreams.

Through a structured track, participants will have the opportunity to make new connections, network and interact directly with international investors during a series of targeted events.

BioInvestIT’s ultimate goal is to provide applicants with the tools, relationships and access to potential investors needed to bring their solutions to market and facilitate their growth and scalability.

Startups and projects interested in participating have until March 31, 2026 (by midnight, GMT+1) to apply by submitting a business plan or executive summary.

BioInvestIT involves three stages:

PHASE 1 – PROJECT AND SME SEARCH AND SELECTION

Participants are invited to submit their ideas and proposals. The most interesting projects/SMEs will be selected by a technical committee (for a maximum of 10 projects/SMEs) and will enter phase 2 of the track.

From Feb. 1 to March 31, 2026, the BioInvestIT National Roadshow will be held, a journey of meetings and presentations dedicated to innovation in the biotech sector. Made in collaboration with local partners to enable companies and researchers to present their project in front of local investors and the innovation ecosystem.

Some of the projects deemed most interesting by a local jury will then be admitted directly to the Investor Arena Meeting.

PHASE 2 – INVESTOR ARENA MEETING

National event (May 14, 2026, Milan) where the most promising participants (up to 10) will present their projects to a jury of investors, experts, and industry representatives, who will select up to three finalists to be presented at the European Investment Forum.

PHASE 3 – EUROPEAN INVESTMENT FORUM (BIOINVESTEU)

Between September and December 2026, the winners of the Arena Meeting will have access to the European Investment Forum, where they will present their project to an international panel of investors, with the aim of supporting the development and internationalization processes of the selected startups.
