The European Commission opened a public consultation on March 31 on the “Towards a Circular, Regenerative and Competitive Bioeconomy” initiative with the aim of gathering input and views in order to offer solutions to promote a circular and climate-neutral economy, contributing to EU growth and competitiveness within planetary limits.
It will support citizens, regions, and key economic sectors (such as agriculture, forestry, fisheries, biomanufacturing, and biotechnology industries and services) in maximizing the sustainable use of biomass, keeping materials and products circulating in the economy for as long as possible to reconcile the needs of the planet, people, and prosperity.
Feedback received will be posted on the European Commission website.
There is time to participate in the call until June 23, 2025.
