CIRCONOMY – Unlocking the Potential of Circularity with Smart Indicators is a project funded under the HORIZON-CL6-2025-01-CIRCBIO-06 call for proposals.
The project, which began in June 2026, is coordinated by UnitelmaSapienza and aims to accelerate the transition toward a more sustainable circular economy through a harmonized system of circularity indicators at the microeconomic level.
The initiative will develop an operational framework and an intuitive digital tool to support informed decision-making by government agencies, businesses, and citizens.
Based on an interdisciplinary and participatory approach, the project integrates life-cycle analysis, environmental footprint, social sciences, and digital innovation. The solutions will be tested in real-world settings to assess their effectiveness, usability, and replicability.
CIRCONOMY also promotes training, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with key EU policies, transforming the principles of the circular economy into concrete practices.
