EBCA publishes Position Paper on the new EU Bioeconomy Strategy: the call for a strategic role for clusters

On December 4, the European Bioeconomy Clusters Alliance (EBCA) published its Position Paper on the new EU Bioeconomy Strategy, a document supported by many European clusters and associations active in bioeconomy innovation. The publication came at a crucial time, as Europe prepared for the new Multiannual Financial Framework. In the Position Paper, the Alliance emphasized a key point: bioeconomy innovation clusters must be officially recognized as strategic partners in the governance and implementation of the EU Bioeconomy Strategy.

Uncovering Consumer Perceptions of the Upcoming Biotech Act

Published the Report "Uncovering Consumer Perceptions of the Upcoming Biotech Act" carried out by EIT Food to support EU policymakers and national government representatives in defining, implementing and communicating the upcoming Biotech Act, with the aim of fostering public support and understanding. The EU Biotech Act, currently scheduled for 2026, aims to provide the regulatory framework to strengthen this new frontier in food production while ensuring high safety standards.
