The Cluster supports innovative entities in the field of bioeconomy and provides access to investor networks, funding and collaboration opportunities with established companies. Spring is a scientific partner of Terra Next and promoter of events/initiatives in this field.
Representation and Advocacy
Spring acts as the voice of the circular bioeconomy sector, representing the interests of its members at the institutional and political level, useful in influencing the definition of public policies and regulations in favor of the sector. Through its working groups, the Cluster drafts position papers to bring to the attention of institutions.

The Cluster provides an ideal environment for the creation of new partnerships and collaborations among members. SPRING organizes the annual Networking meeting event, an opportunity for members to introduce themselves and explore possible synergies.
Synergy between Industry and Research
Spring promotes the effective transfer of knowledge and technology from research to industry to foster innovation and enable companies to remain competitive and at the forefront of the industry. The Cluster has established a working group on Research and Technological Innovation.

INTERNATIONALIZATION
The Cluster strongly believes in the importance of establishing international relationships to strengthen the circular bioeconomy sector globally, creating new opportunities for cooperation and knowledge exchange. Spring is constantly collaborating with some of the leading European and global clusters. It is an Associate Member of the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) and organizes the International Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy (IFIB) every year.
Communication activities and outreach
Spring promotes awareness of the circular bioeconomy to diverse target audiences, disseminating the opportunities offered and a constant update on industry trends. Spring organizes Bioeconomy Day each year, a national day dedicated to telling and learning more about the features and opportunities offered by the circular bioeconomy. Constant dialogue with the outside world and with members is also ensured through social networks and a bimonthly newsletter.
How to associate?
Joining the SPRING Cluster is very simple. Simply download and fill out the membership form attached on the page, sign it and send it via PEC to clusterspring@pec.it and/or via simple email to info@clusterspring.it.
Public or private entities may join SPRING, at any time of the year, if they declare in the Association’s membership application form that they share the aims of the Cluster, indicating significant initiatives and projects already undertaken or to be undertaken in the bioeconomy sector, that they are familiar with the Association’s Bylaws, and that they assume its obligations.
Each application for membership will be submitted to the Board of Directors for deliberation at the first available meeting,
which will evaluate the consistency of the activities carried out in relation to the purposes of the Association.
For those enterprises that are considered innovative start-ups, established for no more than 5 years, not belonging to a group, with turnover under 5 million, and thus facing various costs in the first years of operation, a discount of the incoming membership fee of 75-50-25% is applied for the first three years. At the end of the first three years of activity, these realities are considered as microenterprises and thus fall under bracket A, with a membership fee of 1,000 euros.*
*Members with turnover of less than 100 thousand euros (including any funding received
for national and European projects) will benefit from the fee reduction from 1000 to 500 euros
